OK, we're exaggerating a little. The story of how SDMG came to be did not really involve bridge burning or ostracism. We just watch a lot of movies.
SDMG's creation did, however, involve Mike Allan and Scott Martin separately fine-tuning their marketing and business skills and philosophies, and then realizing those concepts didn't quite match their respective agencies' beliefs. Slightly disillusioned, they had a meeting of the minds, and with fresh and unique perspective in tow, decided to go out on their own - together.
